Gutter Installation and Repair in Norwalk

We install and repair gutters that carry roof water away from your fascia, walls and foundation. Every run is measured, pitched and sealed by hand. When the first real rain has passed, we come back to see how it drained and show you how to keep it that way.

What Good Gutters Do for Your Home

A roof sheds a surprising amount of water in a single storm, and all of it lands at the edge. Gutters catch it and move it to a place where it does no harm. When they sag, clog or pull away, that water soaks the fascia board, stains stucco, splashes onto window frames and pools along the foundation.

Our rain comes in a short season, often in heavy bursts following months of dry weather and dust. Gutters that sat full of leaves all summer get tested hard and fast. That is why we pay close attention to slope, outlet size and downspout placement instead of simply hanging new metal.

Some homes need a few repairs: a resealed corner, new hangers, an added downspout. Others need a full replacement. We look first and tell you which one makes sense.

What Our Gutter Work Includes

Continuous aluminum runs
We form each gutter on site from a coil, cut to the exact length of the roof edge, so the only joints sit at corners and ends. Fewer seams means fewer places to drip. You choose the color to suit your trim.
Correct pitch and outlets
Each run gets a gentle, steady fall toward its downspout, roughly a quarter inch over ten feet. We size outlets for the roof area feeding them, so water drains instead of spilling over the front lip during a downpour.
Hidden hangers into solid wood
Hangers are screwed through the fascia into the rafter tails where possible, spaced closely enough to hold the weight of wet debris. This is what keeps a gutter from slowly sagging away from the house.
Sound fascia, correct drip edge
We press along the fascia board for soft, rotted wood and replace those sections first, since a new gutter is only as solid as the board behind it. The drip edge gets checked too, so roof water falls into the gutter rather than running down behind it.
Downspouts and discharge
Downspouts are placed where water can leave cleanly, with extensions or splash blocks that carry it away from walkways and the foundation.
Care notes and a return visit
When the job is done, we walk you through what was installed and how to keep it clear. Once the first solid rain has come through, we come back to watch it drain and adjust anything that needs it.

Signs It's Time to Look at Your Gutters

  • Rain pouring over the edge

When a downpour spills past the outer rim rather than flowing to the downspout, the run is blocked, too small or sloped backward.

  • Sagging or pulling away

A run that dips between hangers or leans out from the fascia has lost its hold. Left alone, it can tear off in the next wind.

  • Peeling paint or dark streaks on the fascia

Staining and flaking paint along the roof edge usually mean water is getting behind the gutter and soaking the wood.

  • Drips at corners and end caps

Old sealant dries out and cracks in long sunny summers. A steady drip at a mitered corner is often a small fix if caught early.

  • Channels in the beds, water against the walls

After a storm, look at the ground below each downspout. Grooves cut into the planting beds or water sitting against the stucco tell us the outlet is emptying too close to your home.

What Shapes the Cost of Gutters

Gutter pricing comes down to how much edge your roof has and what we find behind the old metal. Every item is written out on the estimate so you can see where the money goes. For homeowners who prefer monthly payments, we can set you up with financing through Service Finance Company, subject to credit approval.

Total length and roof height

Longer runs mean more material. A second story adds ladder time and setup on every side of the house.

Fascia condition

Rotted fascia has to be replaced before new gutters can hold. We show you photos of any soft wood before quoting the repair.

Profile, size and downspouts

Standard K-style gutters cost less than wider or half-round profiles. Each added downspout and extension adds a little, but often solves an overflow problem for good.

Guards and extras

Gutter guards, splash blocks and drainage extensions are optional. We explain where they earn their keep and where they do not.

How a Gutter Job Runs

  1. 1

    Free inspection by phone appointment

We examine the gutters, the fascia and the roof edge above them, photographing anything worth your attention. The free written estimate that follows lists repair and replacement options separately.

  2. 2

    Prep and protection

On install day we lay drop cloths over plantings and set ladders on stabilizers to keep them off soft ground and fresh paint. Old gutters come down carefully and leave with us.

  3. 3

    Forming and hanging

We roll the new one-piece sections on site, set the pitch with a string line and fasten each hanger into solid wood. Corners and end caps are sealed and every downspout is tested with a hose before we finish.

  4. 4

    Walk-through and follow-up

We show you the outlets, explain how often to clear them and what to watch for. Once the first real storm passes, we return to check the flow, the seals and the discharge points.

Gutter Questions We Hear Often

Can my existing gutters be repaired instead of replaced?

Often, yes. Loose hangers, leaky corners and a single bad downspout are routine repairs. If the metal is bent along most of its length or the pitch is wrong throughout, replacement usually costs less over time. We will tell you which applies once we have inspected them.

How often should I clean my gutters?

For most homes, once in the fall before the rainy season and once in spring is enough. If you have trees overhanging the roof, take a look following strong dry winds, since those can fill a gutter in a day. We go over this in our care notes at the end of every job.

Are gutter guards worth it?

They help where leaves and needles fall heavily, but they still need occasional rinsing. Fine dust and roof grit can pass through some styles. We look at what is landing on your roof before recommending them.

Why do you come back once the job is finished?

A hose test is useful, but a real storm is the honest test. We return once the first good rain has fallen to confirm water reaches every downspout and leaves the yard where it should, and to adjust anything that did not.
