Urgent Roof Repair in Norwalk
When a branch comes down, tiles slip or water starts dripping through a ceiling, we cover the opening to keep your home dry. Then we plan a proper repair and return once the next rain has passed to confirm it is holding.
Sudden Damage, Handled in Order
Some roof problems cannot wait for a routine appointment. A section of shingles torn off by wind, a cracked tile over a bedroom, a flashing seam that opened during a hard rain. Each one lets water reach the decking and insulation, and wet wood weakens quickly.
Our work comes in two parts. First we stop the water with a secured tarp or a sealed temporary patch. Once the roof is dry and we can see everything, we repair it with materials that match what is already up there, so the fix blends in and lasts.
Once the repair is in, we check back. We look at the area again when it has seen real weather and tell you what to watch for, which is often where small problems are caught before they spread.
What the Work Includes
Temporary cover
We fasten a heavy tarp over battens or seal a small opening so wind cannot lift it. It keeps water out until the permanent repair is done.
Photos of the damage
We photograph what we find on the roof and in the attic. You see the problem with your own eyes, and the images help if you file an insurance claim.
Decking and underlayment check
Water often travels past the visible damage. We probe the wood around the opening and replace soft decking and torn underlayment rather than covering them over.
Matched permanent repair
Shingles are matched for color and profile, and concrete or clay tiles for shape. Flashing is refit and sealed so the repair sheds water the same way the rest of the roof does.
Cleanup and care notes
We clear debris, sweep for nails and leave you a short note on how the repaired area should look over the coming months.

Signs Your Roof Needs Attention Now
- Water coming through the ceiling
- Dripping, a spreading stain or a bulging patch of drywall means water is already past the roof. Move belongings away and set out a bucket until we can cover the source.
- Missing shingles or broken tiles
- Strong fall winds can lift shingle tabs and shift tiles. An exposed patch of underlayment will not keep out a winter storm for long.
- A fallen limb on the roof
- Even if nothing looks punctured, a heavy branch can crack tiles, dent decking or loosen flashing. Leave it in place and let us remove it safely.
- Flashing pulled loose
- Metal lifted around a chimney, vent pipe or wall joint opens a direct path for water. It is a small part with a large effect.
- Pinpoints of light overhead
- Stand in the attic on a sunny afternoon. Any bright specks between the boards are openings, and rain will find them.
How a Repair Visit Runs
- 1
Your call
Describe what you are seeing, whether a drip, a stain or a bare section of roof, and roughly where it is on the house. A few questions from us mean we arrive with the right materials, and we can talk it through in English or Spanish.
- 2
Cover, then look closely
Stopping the water comes first. With the opening secured, we go over the roof surface and the attic space beneath it, picture each trouble spot and talk you through it in everyday language.
- 3
Written estimate
You receive a free written estimate for the permanent repair, with each item listed. If insurance is involved, we work directly with your claim and share our photos.
- 4
Permanent repair
On a dry day we remove the temporary cover, replace damaged wood and underlayment, and install matched roofing and flashing. The work area is cleaned before we leave.
- 5
Check back
Once the repair has seen some weather, we follow up to confirm it is dry and sound, and we answer any questions about caring for it.
What Shapes the Cost
Every repair is priced once we have seen the roof, and you have it in writing before permanent work begins. Most of the cost depends on how far water traveled and what your roof is made of. If paying over time would help, financing through Service Finance Company is an option, subject to credit approval.
- How much of the roof is open
- A few shingles is a short job. A wide section torn open by a branch takes more material and more hours.
- Hidden water damage
- Soft decking, wet insulation or damaged rafters add to the scope. We show you photos before replacing anything beneath the surface.
- Roofing material
- Concrete and clay tile take careful handling and matching, and some profiles are harder to source than standard asphalt shingles.
- Pitch and access
- A steep roof, a two-story wall or a narrow walkway beside the house calls for extra ladder setup and fall protection. That preparation adds time to the visit.
Common Questions After Sudden Roof Damage
- Is it safe to climb up and throw a tarp over the damage myself?
- We would ask you not to. Wet tile and shingles are slippery, and damaged areas can give way underfoot. Catch the water inside, move valuables and photograph what you can from the ground or indoors, then leave the roof to us.
- Is a tarp enough until I decide what to do?
- A properly secured tarp keeps water out for a while, but it is a short-term measure. Sun and wind wear it down, and water can still get under a loose edge. We recommend planning the permanent repair within a few weeks of it going up.
- Will my insurance cover this?
- Coverage comes down to the terms of your policy and the cause of the damage, and your adjuster makes the call. We work directly with your claim, supply our photos and a written estimate, and walk you through each step so nothing catches you off guard.
- Can you match my existing tiles or shingles?
- In most cases, yes. We match shingle color and profile and look for tiles in the same shape. If an exact match is no longer made, we show you the closest options before installing anything.
- Why do you come back once the repair is finished?
- A repair proves itself in real weather. Checking back lets us confirm the area stayed dry and the flashing is sealed. It also gives you a chance to ask how to keep the roof in good shape.
